Ancorized and de-ancorize computers.

Once a computer is ancorized it can be used to easily enroll additional computers by logging into the bank web site, selecting Ancora Security and choosing the Ancorize another computer option. The Ancora server in the bank will return a one time enrollment code needed to ancorize the new computer.

De-ancorizing a computer can be done safely and simply from the Ancora Security menu.

Invisible and automatic signature renewal

Ancora Online works by storing a signature or “device verifier” in the BIOS of the user’s computer. Ancora insures a secure environment by periodically updating this key component automatically and invisibly in the background. This will thwart the efforts of the most determined hackers.

Temporarily add and disable a computer

A user can temporarily ancorize or de-ancorize a computer easily from the Ancora Security menu. This feature can be used to accommodate travel or other circumstances where you are not going to use your own computer.

Limited functionality for un-ancorized computers

A bank customer can access some, but not all of the services offered by a bank’s web site from an un-ancorized computer. On the other hand, bank customers using an ancorized computer will be able to access services, which include sensitive information, and will be able to perform transactions in a secure environment.

Full control from bank

The customer service staff retains full control of the Ancora environment through the use of a centralized console.

Full self service

Once a customer ancorizes a computer all new activations, de-activations, temporary disabling or enabling can be performed by the end user from the ancorized computer.

Spoof alert

Spoof Alert warns the user when inadvertently submitting personal information to suspected spoof websites. The feature notifies the user that the site may be fraudulent and asks the user for specific permission before it allows the user to continue.

Time disable

A bank can configure the Ancora environment to automatically disable any ancorized computer that has not logged in for a certain period of time.

Enrollment options

Bank customers who want to ancorize their computer can obtain their initial enrollment code from their local bank branch or over the telephone provided they have the proper identification.

Windows 95 or above, Internet Explorer, Netscape or AOL browser.
